Panel description: After decades of underinvestment, the decline in civics education has contributed significantly to the discord and widespread disengagement plaguing our nation. Business can play a constructive role in reversing this trend by partnering with schools and educating their own employees about civics. The health of our democracy and our economic system depend on Americans understanding how our government and elections function.

BFA is a member of the PA Civics Coalition which is a statewide, bipartisan coalition formed in 2019 consisting of former public officials and nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations from across the state interested in the promotion and expansion of civics education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
