BFA launches Together for 250, a business-led campaign to unite Americans around the nation's 250th anniversary

Free initiative invites companies, chambers, and business associations to celebrate America's semiquincentennial with purpose

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Business for America (BFA) today announced the launch of Together for 250, a nonpartisan, business-led campaign inviting companies and business associations across the country to mark America's 250th anniversary by uplifting the American story — our ingenuity, resilience, and shared values — and by demonstrating how business leadership can help strengthen civic trust and connection nationwide.

The campaign launches as the U.S. prepares for one of the most significant milestones in its history. July 4, 2026 marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a moment that BFA believes the business community is uniquely positioned to help recognize.

"America's 250th anniversary is a rare opportunity, the kind that only comes once," said Sarah Bonk, founder and CEO of Business for America. "We created Together for 250 because we believe business has a role to play at this moment. It's about showing up for the country that made our success possible and doing it in a way that brings people together rather than pushing them apart."

Together for 250 invites companies of all sizes and sectors to mark America's 250th in ways that reflect their own values and community — engaging employees around shared purpose, supporting local initiatives, reaching customers and stakeholders with a message of connection, and using their voice to contribute to a positive, forward-looking national story. Participation is free, nonpartisan, and designed to be flexible — companies can do as much or as little as makes sense for them.

To support participating companies and organizations, BFA has developed a comprehensive suite of free resources including a partner communications toolkit, a messaging guide built around nine American story themes, and a library of sample letters and content.

“We designed the campaign to remove barriers to participation and make it simple for organizations to take part in a positive national moment,” said Chip York, marketing and communications director at Business for America. “The toolkit provides ready-to-use resources and flexible guidance so companies can engage in a way that feels authentic to their culture and voice.”

Together for 250 is open to any U.S.-based business or business association. There is no cost to participate. Companies interested in joining can sign the TF250 pledge and access all campaign resources at TF250.US.
